Blair is interviewed by a prestigious East Coast college for entry when she uncovers that her former boyfriend is also working there. Blair unintentionally seeks the help and advice of the ladies of Eastland's faculty, but she is reluctant to admit that her ex-boyfriend from high school means something to her. Meanwhile, Natalie researches a term paper about Eastland's history but struggles to appreciate and comprehend the information that she obtains. Taking Julie's guidance, Natalie discovers that the past of Eastland is complementary to current events.
