Blair, Jo, Tootie, and Natalie decide to take a babysitting job to earn some extra money, but they soon realize that they are in way over their heads. The girls struggle to handle the children, who prove to be more than a handful with their constant crying, tantrums, and mischievous behavior.
To make matters worse, the parents come home early from their night out and find chaos in their home. The girls quickly clean up, but are hesitant to accept payment for their services as they feel they did not do a good enough job.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Garrett is dealing with her own baby dilemmas when she becomes a surrogate mother for a friend who cannot conceive. While excited at the prospect of helping her friend, Mrs. Garrett becomes overwhelmed with the responsibility of carrying the baby and the emotional toll it takes on her.
The episode touches on the challenges and rewards of motherhood, from dealing with difficult children to the desire for a child of one's own. It also highlights the importance of supporting friends in need and the bonds of sisterhood.
