In Face Off season 10 episode 7, titled The Gauntlet II, the remaining six artists are taken to the Universal Studios backlot. After a brief tour, they must create creatures that would fit into three Universal Pictures horror films: The Mummy, Dracula, and Frankenstein.
Each artist is randomly assigned a film and given three days to create their creature. However, there's a twist: after the first day, they must swap their partially completed creature with another artist. This means they must work on someone else's concept, finish it, and make it their own.
The artists struggle with the challenge, as working on someone else's creation is a daunting task. Some thrive, while others falter. They must push their skills to the limit and channel their inner creativity in order to impress the judges.
As the clock ticks down, each artist completes their creature. The judges, using three different sets, evaluate them on various aspects, such as paint application, design, and performance. The top three artists are safe from elimination, but one artist must go home.
Throughout the episode, tension builds between the artists as they navigate the challenges and personal conflicts. The true spirit of Face Off is on display as the artists support each other while dealing with their own personal struggles.
Ultimately, the episode showcases the incredible talent and skill of the remaining six artists, while also paying homage to the iconic horror films of Universal Pictures. It leaves the audience on the edge of their seats, eagerly awaiting the next episode.
