Ezel season 1 episode 1, titled "Episode 1," is a thrilling start to the Turkish TV series. The episode introduces viewers to the characters Ezel (played by Kenan Imirzalioglu) and Omer (played by Cansu Dere), who are best friends living in Istanbul.
Ezel has just returned to Istanbul after spending several years studying abroad, excited to reunite with his childhood friend Omer. Meanwhile, Omer is preparing to marry his longtime girlfriend, Eysan (played by Cansu Tosun). The trio's happiness is short-lived, however, as they become caught up in a web of deceit and betrayal.
The episode begins with a flash-forward, where Ezel is shown on a hospital bed, covered in bandages and burns, and facing a long road to recovery. The significance of his injuries is not immediately apparent but it is clear from Ezel's demeanor that he is seeking revenge.
The story then moves back in time, to several weeks earlier, where Ezel and Omer are seen working at a local roasting company. We see Ezel's return to Istanbul, as he walks the bustling streets of the city, taking in the sights and sounds that are so familiar to him. Meanwhile, Omer is doing well for himself in the city, having made a name for himself and finding love with his girlfriend, Eysan.
Ezel's life quickly becomes intertwined with the mafia, as he is offered a no-show job by the head of the mafia family, Ramiz Karaeski (played by Tuncel Kurtiz), in exchange for a favor. Ezel unwittingly agrees, and soon finds himself in debt to the mafia boss. Meanwhile, Omer's relationship with Eysan begins to suffer as he starts to believe that she is cheating on him.
As viewers watch the intricate plot unfold, they are introduced to a host of characters, each with their own motivations and hidden agendas. Some characters such as Ali (played by Baris Falay), Omer's cousin, who is ruthlessly ambitious, and Azad (played by Bade Iscil), a loyal member of Ramiz Karaeski's inner circle, are shady, unpredictable and sly.
As the episode progresses, viewers are treated to several intense scenes, including one where Ezel is brutally beaten by Ramiz's men and another where Omer confronts Eysan about her alleged infidelity. The episode ends on a cliffhanger, as viewers are left wondering what will become of Ezel and Omer's futures.
Overall, Ezel season 1 episode 1 is a riveting start to the Turkish TV series. The episode sets the tone for the rest of the series, with its suspenseful storyline and well-developed characters. It leaves viewers on the edge of their seat, eagerly anticipating what will happen next.
