In Extreme Cake Makers season 1 episode 4, appropriately titled Episode 4, audiences are in for yet another round of jaw-dropping cakes that seem almost too good to eat. From outer space themed birthday cakes to luxurious golden peacock cakes, these bakers are determined to push the boundaries of what is possible with pastry.
The episode kicks off with Michelle Wibowo, an award-winning cake artist who has crafted cakes for the likes of the Royal family, creating a stunning replica of the HMS Victory, a British Navy ship from the 18th century. This cake is not just any cake though. It needs to light up and have moving parts, requiring Michelle and her team to work tirelessly to make this a reality. As they put the finishing touches on the cake the night before it is due, they are faced with challenges of the cake holding up in transportation, as they need to travel over 8 hours to deliver the cake to their clients. Will their hard work pay off in the end?
Next, viewers meet Phil and Christine Jenson, a husband and wife duo who own their own cake shop in a small town in England. Their challenge for this episode is to create a wonderful and whimsical cake for an upcoming children's birthday party. The twist? The cake must be inspired by the popular children's game Mouse Trap. With only a few days to complete this cake, the couple begins by brainstorming designs and ideas for how to make the cake resemble the game as closely as possible. Through careful design and planning, they manage to create one of the most entertaining and unique birthday cakes seen so far.
Finally, audiences meet Ben Cullen, also known as The BakeKing, a self-taught artist and cake decorator. Ben has a big job on his hands as he prepares to create an elaborate wedding cake fit for a couple whose extravagant tastes are legendary. The cake must incorporate gold, mirrors and have a very particular shape to it. As always, Ben pushes himself to his limits to create the cake of the couple's dreams. However, as the deadline creeps up on him, he realizes that his design for the cake might actually be impossible to execute. Does he manage to pull it off in the end?
Overall, episode 4 of Extreme Cake Makers is an exciting and creative look into the world of cake artistry. With each baker bringing their unique styles and expertise to the table, it is simply amazing to see what can be achieved with nothing but sugar, flour, and creativity. With each cake more impressive than the last, audiences are sure to be left wanting more.
