Ep 50. Wish Upon a Star

Wish Upon a Star is the fiftieth episode of Eureka Seven's first season. The episode takes place immediately after the events of the previous episode.

At the start of the episode, Renton and Eureka are seen lying unconscious in their mechas. Talho brings them back to the Gekko, where they are treated for their injuries. Meanwhile, Dewey, Holland, and Charles are revealed to be alive and are on their way to an unknown destination.

Eureka wakes up first, and she realizes that she has lost control of the Scub Coral. She tries to tell Renton, but he is still unconscious. Holland contacts the Gekko and informs them that he has found a way to stop the Scub Coral and eliminate the threat of the Coralians.

The Gekko crew flies to Holland's location, and they land on a planet that resembles Earth. They soon discover that the planet is actually a replica of Earth that was created by the Scub Coral as a test to see if humans and Coralians could coexist. The crew also finds out that the planet has a scub coral core, which is what is causing the events of the past few episodes.

As the Gekko crew tries to figure out their next move, Renton wakes up and is shocked to find out that Eureka has lost her memories. She does not remember anything about herself or their relationship. Renton is devastated, and he tries to jog her memory by taking her to places that are significant to their past together.

While Renton is trying to help Eureka regain her memories, Holland and the other pilots launch a mission to stop the Scub Coral and save the planet. The mission is successful, and they are able to destroy the scub coral core and stop the coralians from invading their world.

After the mission, Renton takes Eureka to a field where they used to stargaze together. He tells her about the time he wished upon a star, and how it came true when he met her. Eureka starts to remember bits and pieces of their past, and she finally remembers everything when Renton shows her a necklace he had given her as a gift.

The episode ends with Renton and Eureka declaring their love for each other and sharing a kiss under the starry sky.

Wish Upon a Star is an emotional and action-packed episode that ties up some of the loose ends from previous episodes. The episode features gorgeous visuals, stunning mecha battles, and heartfelt moments between Renton and Eureka. It is a satisfying conclusion to the first season of Eureka Seven.
