In ER season 7 episode 7 titled "Rescue Me," the doctors and nurses of County General encounter a number of different medical emergencies that challenge their skills and expertise.
The episode begins with Nurse Hathaway treating an elderly patient who is having breathing difficulties and discovers that he has a serious case of pneumonia. Meanwhile, Dr. Corday is tasked with treating a young woman who has been brought into the ER with a gunshot wound, and must work quickly to save her life.
As the day goes on, the staff at County General are forced to deal with a series of increasingly difficult cases, including a pregnant woman who comes in with complications during labor, a young boy who has been in a serious car accident, and a man who is experiencing severe chest pains.
Throughout the episode, the doctors and nurses must work together to make quick decisions and provide the best possible care for their patients, often under extremely stressful and challenging circumstances.
Despite the many obstacles they face, the staff at County General remain dedicated to their patients and committed to providing the highest level of care possible. As the episode comes to a close, they are forced to confront the fact that their work is never truly done, and that there will always be new challenges and obstacles to overcome in their efforts to save lives and heal the sick.
