Ep 2. Summer Run

Dr. Benton is dealing with his own personal issues as well. He is trying to juggle his duties as a resident with his responsibilities as a new father. His lack of sleep and constant worry over his infant son's health begin to take a toll on him, leading to a few medical mistakes in the ER.

As the episode progresses, the staff continues to deal with the onslaught of heat-related medical cases. They work tirelessly to save each patient, but one young boy's condition continues to deteriorate. As the staff scrambles to find a solution, Dr. Ross steps forward with an unconventional treatment that could save the boy's life.
