The episode begins with Eric trying to get Vince's new movie off the ground. He meets with a couple of investors who seem interested, but something is off. As it turns out, the investors are actually spies sent by producer Randall Wallace to steal Vince's script. Eric realizes this just in time and manages to thwart their attempts.
Meanwhile, Drama is still looking for work. He's hoping to land a part in a new TV show, but the casting director doesn't seem to be too impressed with him. Drama decides to take matters into his own hands and stages a protest outside the casting director's office. Surprisingly, his plan works, and he lands the part.
Back in Rome, Ari is still trying to put things right with his wife, Mrs. Gold. She's not having any of it, though, and she tells Ari that she's filing for divorce. This leads Ari down a path of self-destruction as he begins to drink heavily and make regrettable decisions.
Meanwhile, Vince is struggling with his own issues. He's worried about the film's financing falling through, and he's also dealing with the fallout from his breakup with Sophia. He meets up with a beautiful Italian woman who he met on the set of his film, but he's reluctant to pursue anything with her since he's still hung up on Sophia.
As the episode comes to a close, the boys all gather together for one last night out in Rome. They reflect on their time together and share laughs and memories. It's a bittersweet moment as they all realize that this may be the last time they're all together like this.
In conclusion, Entourage season 8 episode 3 "One Last Shot" is a poignant episode that deals with the themes of closure and moving on.
