Ep 5. Tree Trippers

In Entourage season 5 episode 5, named 'Tree Trippers', the boys hit the road for a much-needed vacation in Joshua Tree. Vince is still recovering from his break-up with Sasha, and Turtle is in desperate need of a break from Jamie-Lynn, who is starting to get more clingy and suspicious of his fidelity. Meanwhile, Drama is anxious to get back to work, and E is fielding business calls left and right.

Before they even leave for their trip, Vince and E swing by Ari's office to see what he thinks about Vince's offer to star in Smokejumpers. Ari is still reeling from the news that his wife gave birth to their son without him there, but he manages to offer some advice to Vince: "When you're ready to date again, date an actress. Zero commitment and you don't have to call her back." Vince agrees to consider Ari's advice, and the boys hit the road.

Once they get to Joshua Tree, it's clear they're in for a wild ride. Turtle and Drama have loaded up on weed edibles, and E is struggling to field calls from clients while trying to enjoy his vacation. Vince starts to open up about his feelings, admitting that he's not sure he ever really loved Sasha. He's still hung up on finding someone who can handle his fame and his lifestyle, and he's not sure that person exists.

As the night wears on and the edibles start to kick in, things get even more surreal. Turtle becomes convinced that they're in a horror movie, and Drama is convinced that he's going to die. Vince and E try to keep things on track, but they're quickly losing control of the situation. They decide to take a hike to clear their heads, but it only makes things worse. Turtle gets lost, Drama starts to hallucinate, and E nearly falls off a cliff trying to take a call from a client.

In the end, the boys are forced to face their fears head-on and work together to get back to safety. Along the way, they confront some hard truths about themselves and their relationships. Turtle realizes that his fear of commitment is pushing Jamie-Lynn away, and Drama admits that he's been avoiding work because he's afraid he's not good enough. Vince and E make strides towards reconciling their differences and figuring out what they want out of life.

Overall, 'Tree Trippers' is a wild ride of an episode that takes the boys out of their comfort zone and forces them to confront their flaws. It's a great example of the show's blend of comedy and drama, and it sets the stage for some big developments later in the season.
