Vince, Eric, Turtle, and Drama are back in Hollywood for the fifth season of Entourage. The first episode, "Fantasy Island," picks up where the fourth season left off, with Vince on the verge of becoming a household name after his successful turn as boxer Billy Walsh in Martin Scorsese's "Medellin."
The episode opens with the boys on a yacht in the Mediterranean, enjoying the spoils of Vince's success. Turtle and Drama, eager to cash in on Vince's fame, pitch him an idea for their latest business venture: a combination bar and laundromat called "Clean and Mean." Vince, in a good mood and feeling generous, agrees to invest.
Back in Los Angeles, Eric is busy fielding offers for Vince's next project. He's approached by an old acquaintance, the eccentric billionaire Russell Wilson, who offers Vince the lead role in his latest film, "Smoke Jumpers." Eric is hesitant at first, but when he hears that the film is being directed by Werner Herzog, he urges Vince to consider it seriously.
Meanwhile, Ari Gold is dealing with his own set of problems. He's just been fired from his job at the agency after a disastrous negotiation with a temperamental client. Desperate to get back in the game, he turns to his old boss, Terrance McQuewick, for help. Terrance agrees to take him back on one condition: he must apologize in person to the fired client and convince him to come back to the agency.
As the episode progresses, Vince and the boys deal with the fallout from their latest business venture, and Eric continues to negotiate with Russell Wilson over the "Smoke Jumpers" project. Drama, jealous of Vince's success, becomes increasingly petty and vindictive, while Turtle struggles to keep up with the demands of their burgeoning business.
The episode ends on a cliffhanger, with a major setback for Vince's career, leaving the boys wondering what the future holds. "Fantasy Island" sets the stage for a season full of ups and downs, as Vince and the gang navigate the treacherous waters of Hollywood and try to stay afloat.
