Endeavour is a British detective drama series that is set in Oxford, UK, in the 1960s. The show follows the life of a young detective by the name of Morse, who is played by Shaun Evans. As the investigation continues, Morse delves deeper into the lives of Ruth’s friends and family, trying to uncover any motive for her murder. He discovers that Ruth’s father was not as wealthy as he appeared to be and that the family was struggling financially. Morse also finds out that Ruth was not as innocent as she initially appeared and had been involved in some shady dealings before her death.

Throughout the episode, we see Morse struggling with his own demons. He is haunted by a traumatic event from his past and is still trying to come to terms with it. At the same time, he is struggling with his place in the world and his role in the police force. He is a man who is passionate about justice and hates to see innocent people suffer, but he is also a man who is deeply flawed.

The character of Morse is what makes Endeavour such a compelling show. He is a man who is complex and multi-faceted, and Evans does an excellent job of bringing him to life on the screen. His interactions with the other characters in the show are always interesting to watch, and he has a unique way of solving crimes that sets him apart from other detectives.

Overall, “Girl” is an excellent episode of Endeavour that does an excellent job of setting the tone for the rest of the series.
