Ep 5. Be True

In Empire season 2 episode 5, titled "Be True," tensions rise between the Lyon family as they navigate the aftermath of their latest power struggle. With Lucious behind bars, Cookie is left to run the company and she quickly learns that being in charge is not as easy as it seems.

As Jamal prepares to release his latest album, he faces a new challenge when his boyfriend Michael reveals some unexpected news. Their relationship is tested as they try to navigate their differences and figure out their future together.

Elsewhere, Andre continues to struggle with his bipolar disorder and his new medication has unexpected side effects. He turns to his pastor for guidance but is met with resistance when he learns that his father is the new CEO of his church.

With everyone facing their own set of challenges, the Lyon family must band together to overcome their obstacles and prove that they are the true rulers of Empire. But as secrets are revealed and alliances are tested, it becomes clear that not everyone can be trusted and not everyone will come out unscathed.
