During the eighth episode of the third season of Elite, the students at Las Encinas continue to struggle with the after-effects of Polo's murder. The episode, titled "Polo", focuses largely on the investigation into his death, which seems to be closing in on the truth. However, the main plotline of the episode revolves around another secret that has been kept hidden for years, which threatens to tear the school apart even further.
As the investigation into Polo's murder heats up, Lucrecia and Samuel both find themselves under pressure from the police. They are forced to choose between telling the truth, and potentially incriminating themselves, or continuing to keep their involvement in the murder a secret. Meanwhile, Guzman continues to search for the truth about his sister's death, and he is convinced that Polo was involved.
Amidst all of this drama, another secret comes to light. The school's principal, Valerio, has been having an affair with one of his students, Carla. Their relationship has been going on for years, and they have become deeply entrenched in each other's lives. When the truth comes out, it threatens to tear apart everything that they have built, as well as the school itself.
Throughout "Polo", tensions are high as the students continue to grapple with their own guilt and fear. Polo's death has left a deep scar on everyone at Las Encinas, and it seems that no one will be able to escape its impact. Even as the investigation into his murder heats up, the students must also contend with the fallout from their own actions, and the secrets that they have been keeping hidden.
Despite the darkness and drama of the episode, there are also moments of hope and redemption. Nadia and Lucrecia, who have been at odds for much of the season, begin to reconcile and find common ground. Meanwhile, Cayetana begins to come to terms with her own guilt and the role that she played in Polo's death. As the episode comes to a close, it is clear that there are still many secrets left to be uncovered, and that the students at Las Encinas will never be the same again.
