Holmes and Watson put themselves on the line to try and capture a skilled criminal, who has committed multiple robberies while using a mouth guard to mask his identity. In the wake of the highly publicized arrest of Michael Rowan, Sherlock's former sobriety sponsor, Joan begins to worry that the stress of the reconciliation with his father is getting to him. Also, their newest addition to the team, Detective Andrew Zeller, lands in hot water when he asks Joan for help with an unofficial investigation.
