Ep 11. Be My Guest

Sherlock Holmes and Joan Watson are back on the case in "Be My Guest," the eleventh episode of "Elementary" season 5. This time, they investigate a murder at a posh hotel in New York City. The victim is a hotel employee who was found dead in a bathtub, and the prime suspect is a prominent hotel guest.

As the investigation unfolds, Holmes and Watson must navigate the luxurious, tightly controlled world of the hotel, where secrets and lies are the norm. Suspects range from the victim's co-workers to the hotel's wealthy guests, all of whom have something to hide. Lies and half-truths abound, making it difficult for the detectives to separate fact from fiction.

Meanwhile, Holmes is dealing with some personal issues. He's struggling with his sobriety and with the fallout from his recent breakup with Fiona. Watson is worried about him, but also frustrated by his unwillingness to seek help. As they work on the case together, Watson also has a personal revelation that shakes her to the core.

As always, the chemistry between Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu is electric. Miller's portrayal of Holmes is nuanced and complex, and he brings a vulnerability to the role that's deeply compelling. Liu's Watson is smart, tough, and empathetic, and her interactions with Holmes are always fascinating to watch.

The supporting cast is also excellent. Aidan Quinn shines as Captain Gregson, Holmes and Watson's boss, and Jon Michael Hill is pitch-perfect as Detective Bell. The guest stars are also top-notch, including Eddie Cahill as hotel owner Thomas Gregson (no relation to the captain), and Armando Riesco as the hotel's head of security.

The mystery itself is well-crafted, with plenty of twists and turns to keep the audience guessing. The clues are there, but they're hidden in plain sight, so viewers will have to pay close attention if they want to solve the case before Holmes and Watson do.

Overall, "Be My Guest" is an excellent addition to the "Elementary" canon. It's a tense, gripping mystery with strong character development and great performances across the board. Fans of the show won't want to miss it.
