At an excavation site in the Andes Mountains, the Beagle Boys have stumbled upon an ancient Incan artifact known as the Lost Harp of Mervana. Legend has it that when played, the harp can control the earth's movements, causing earthquakes and volcanoes to erupt. The Beagle Boys plan to use the harp to wreak havoc and demand a hefty ransom for their services.
Meanwhile, Scrooge and the boys are visiting Scrooge's old friend Panchito Pistoles in the Andes. Panchito is a skilled musician and wants to teach the boys about the traditional music of the Andes. While on a hike, they stumble upon the excavation site and uncover the Beagle Boys' plan.
With the help of Panchito and some llamas, Scrooge and the boys set out to stop the Beagle Boys and retrieve the harp. But the Beagle Boys are one step ahead and have already begun playing the harp, causing earthquakes and volcanic eruptions throughout the Andes.
As they dodge falling rocks and lava flows, Scrooge and the boys race to reach the harp and put an end to the Beagle Boys' scheme. With Panchito's musical expertise, they are able to counteract the effects of the harp and put an end to the chaos.
In the end, the Lost Harp of Mervana is returned to its rightful place and the Beagle Boys are once again behind bars. Panchito and the boys share a musical performance, blending the traditional music of the Andes with a Duckburg twist.
