As Dodgers draws closer to Xero, he begins to realize that the criminal may not be as evil as he originally thought. Xero reveals that he is not simply a mindless villain, but is instead a product of his environment. He explains that he turned to a life of crime out of desperation, as his planet was ravaged by war and poverty. Xero's story touches Dodgers, who begins to see him as a complex character rather than a one-dimensional bad guy.
This newfound compassion for Xero is put to the test when Dodgers discovers that Xero has been marked for death by a group of bounty hunters. Dodgers must decide whether to intervene and save Xero, or to let him face his inevitable demise. Ultimately, Dodgers chooses to help Xero, even though it may put his own life in danger.
The episode reaches its climax as Dodgers and Xero are cornered by the bounty hunters. In a thrilling battle scene, the two work together to defeat their enemies and escape to safety. As they make their way back to Mars, Dodgers and Xero have a heart-to-heart conversation about their pasts, and the choices they've made that led them to where they are today.
In the end, Xero decides to turn himself in to the authorities, believing that it is the best way for him to atone for his past crimes. Dodgers, touched by Xero's selflessness, vows to assist him in any way he can, even if it means putting himself in harm's way.
