For the fans of the TV show Dual Survival, season 2 episode 5 titled "Frozen Plains" takes the viewer on an exciting journey through the freezing terrain of the Rocky Mountains.
The episode features two wilderness experts, Cody Lundin and Dave Canterbury, who are dropped off in the middle of the Rocky Mountains with minimal supplies and must use their skills and knowledge of the wilderness to survive for five days.
The environment is harsh and unforgiving - the temperature drops to below freezing, and the snow and ice make walking treacherous. As soon as they get off the helicopter, they begin to scout out the terrain and avoid the dangerous areas. They decide to head to higher ground, hoping to find game and shelter.
As they move uphill, they come across a frozen river. They realize that it would be a much easier and safer route to follow the river, and as they walk alongside it, they spot a few frozen fish and decide to try their hand at ice fishing. Cody finds a primitive fishing net while Dave sets up a simple ice fishing rod. They hope to catch enough fish to provide some protein for their stay in the frozen wilderness.
However, their troubles don't end there. As they walk along the river, the ground suddenly gives way, and Dave falls through the ice into the freezing water below. Cody quickly comes to his rescue by pulling him to safety, and they continue on their journey. They know that they need to keep moving and find shelter before the sun sets.
After walking for a while, they come across a natural rock shelter. The shelter is excellent - it is dry, warm, and provides good protection from the elements. They begin to set up camp, and Cody shows Dave how to start a fire using a bow drill. They heat some of the fish they caught earlier for dinner and try to get some sleep before another day of survival in the wilderness.
The next day, they continue to search for food and water. They try to catch some rabbits using a primitive snare, but the snow makes it difficult to find any signs of movement. However, they come across a carcass of a deer and decide to use the meat to their advantage. Cody teaches Dave how to use a simple hand-held tool to skin the deer, and they carry the meat back to their camp.
They smoke the meat over a fire to preserve it for later, and they continue their journey through the wilderness. Along the way, they find a natural spring and collect some water. The water is ice-cold, but they heat it up by boiling it over the fire. It helps them stay hydrated and replenish some of the salt they have lost.
As the sun begins to set, they make their way back to their camp. They have learned a lot during their five days in the wilderness - from finding shelter and food to starting fires and collecting water. However, they know that they still have a lot to learn, and they are grateful for the incredible opportunity to test their skills and knowledge of the wilderness.
In conclusion, if you enjoy watching survival shows, Dual Survival season 2 episode 5: "Frozen Plains" is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat with its thrilling story of survival in the freezing terrain of the Rocky Mountains.
