Jane represents a woman who is being sued by a dead person's estate for possessing an engagement ring she claims was left to her. Despite only having the woman's word to go on, Jane is confident that her client is telling the truth and sees the case as an opportunity to prove to the legal community that her client is worth taking a chance on. Meanwhile, Grayson and Kim team up on a case that provides them with the opportunity to explore their complicated feelings for one another.
