Ep 6. Rigged

In the sixth episode of the fourth season of Drop Dead Diva, titled "Rigged," Jane is faced with a case that hits close to home as she takes on the defense for a bitter ex-wife. Peggy, a woman who has been divorced for several years, seeks Jane's help in contesting the terms of the divorce settlement.

Peggy's ex-husband had been a successful businessman when they were married, but after the divorce, he lost everything, including his business and all his assets. However, a few months ago, he struck it rich after taking a second chance on a new venture, earning millions of dollars. Peggy believes that she is entitled to a share of his new wealth, arguing that the terms of the original settlement were incomplete and should have included a clause for future earnings.

With her firm's reputation on the line, Jane finds herself in a difficult position as she tries to fight for Peggy's rights while also attempting to amend the mistakes of her colleagues.

Along the way, she receives some outside help from her guardian angel, Fred, who enlists the help of a bookmaker to predict the outcome of the trial. With this knowledge, Jane is able to better prepare her argument and present a stronger case in court. But as the trial unfolds, she realizes that she may not be able to win the case without sacrificing her integrity.

Meanwhile, Stacy faces her own problems as she tries to balance her new role as a girlfriend of the boss and a fashion designer. Her boyfriend, Fred's replacement at the law firm, has decided to invest in her clothing line, putting Stacy in a difficult position as she worries about being seen as a gold digger. But Stacy's creativity and determination may just save her fashion line and her relationship.

"Rigged" is a compelling episode of Drop Dead Diva that touches on important issues concerning divorce settlements and the legal system. With its well-crafted storyline and emotionally charged performances, it is sure to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
