They learn about the dragon's history with the local village, and begin to uncover a conspiracy involving a corrupt mayor, a greedy farmer, and a group of dragon hunters who may be more ruthless than Lian-Chu and Gwizdo.
As they delve deeper into the mystery, the dragon hunters are forced to confront their own beliefs about dragons and the ethics of their profession. They must also decide whether to go against their employer's orders and risk their livelihoods to do what they believe is right.
