Ep 4. Personal Stories

Drag Heals is a transformational reality series that focuses on the true and authentic stories of participants in the art of drag. In season 1 episode 4, entitled “Personal Stories,” viewers are transported into the lives of the series’ cast members who share their struggles, triumphs, and profound personal experiences through the art of drag.

The episode starts with each cast member reflecting on their journey to drag and how the art form has impacted their lives in meaningful ways. They each explain why drag is so important to them personally and how it has allowed them to channel their unique talents, overcome discrimination, and express their true selves. The cast members also share stories of the emotional healing they have experienced through the art of drag, whether it be through self-expression, acceptance from their families, or the support of their community.

As the episode progresses, the cast members begin their transformations for their upcoming performances. They each select a song that reflects their personal experiences and emotions, and the show’s talented team of drag mentors —including famous Canadian drag queens Jade Elektra, Samantha Mack, and Xtacy Love —work with them to develop their makeup, wardrobe, and overall performance style. Viewers get an intimate look at the intense preparation and creative process that goes into each drag character.

Once the transformations are complete, the cast members take to the stage to perform their selected songs in front of a live audience.
