Ep 1. The Cat in the Hat

In this premiere episode, nine teams, each composed of a talented cake artist and phenomenal pastry chef, enter the City of Seuss for the first time, welcomed by host, Tamera Mowry-Housley. This is the first of three qualifying rounds, in which the first crop of three teams will compete in two rounds to earn their place in the Dr Seuss Baking Competition, judged by acclaimed pastry chef Clarice Lam, and world-famous cake artist, Joshua John Russell, with Susan Brandt, the CEO of Dr. Seuss Enterprises, along to consult about their designs. At the end of eight episodes, only one team will take home the key to the City of Seuss, honorary citizenship along with a place in the Hall of Fame, and a $50,000 dollar grand prize. First up is the Thinker-Upper challenge, in which teams are challenged to capture the fun and flavor of the Dr. Seuss classic The Cat in the Hat, by combining two completely different desserts into one.
