Dr. Pimple Popper, the hit TLC show, is back for its fifth season, and episode two is already promising to be a doozy. Titled "Big Pop on Campus," the episode will follow famed dermatologist Sandra Lee, a.k.a. Dr. Pimple Popper, as she tackles some of her most challenging cases yet.
For those not already familiar with the show, Dr. Pimple Popper features Lee as she treats patients with various skin conditions, from simple blackheads to massive cysts and tumors. While the show's premise may seem cringe-worthy to some, it has a devoted fan base who love nothing more than seeing Lee work her magic to transform her patients' lives.
In "Big Pop on Campus," Lee will be focusing on younger patients, many of whom are students dealing with skin issues that are both physically and emotionally debilitating. One such patient is 21-year-old Jake, who has a massive cyst on his forehead that's been growing for the past three years. The cyst is so large that it's affecting Jake's vision, and he's become a recluse because of it.
Another patient is 18-year-old Tristen, who has a rare condition that causes the skin on his hands and feet to thicken and crack. The condition is not only painful but has affected Tristen's ability to do things most people take for granted, like holding a pen or tying his shoes.
Other patients in this episode include 20-year-old Rosa, who has a bump on her nose that's been growing for six years, and 22-year-old Megan, who has a cyst on her jaw that's causing her extreme pain.
As always, Lee will be stepping in to help these patients, using her extensive knowledge and skill to diagnose and treat their conditions. Along the way, viewers will get an inside look at the procedures Lee uses to perform her trademark extractions, from using a scalpel to drain a cyst to using a laser to remove a skin growth.
But while Dr. Pimple Popper is known for its graphic close-ups of pus-filled pimples and cysts, the show is about more than just squeezing out gunk. It's about helping people feel better about themselves, both physically and emotionally. That's something Lee takes very seriously, as she works to build trust with her patients and provide them with the compassionate care they need.
So if you're a fan of Dr. Pimple Popper or just looking for a fascinating glimpse into the world of dermatology, be sure to tune in to "Big Pop on Campus." With Lee at the helm, it's sure to be an unforgettable episode.
