The hit 90s game show, Double Dare, is back and better than ever for season 4! In this first episode, titled "The Mighty Tweens vs. The Super Scouts," two teams of four kids each compete in messy, physical challenges for a chance to win prizes and bragging rights.
The Mighty Tweens, made up of four enthusiastic and energetic tweens, are up against The Super Scouts, a group of four girl scouts looking to earn more than just merit badges. Marc Summers, the iconic host, kicks off the show with some banter and humor before introducing the audience to the teams.
The first challenge, called "Pie in the Pants," has each team member wearing a pair of oversized pants filled with whipped cream pies and navigating through an obstacle course. The goal is to reach the finish line with as many pies as possible still in the pants. It's a messy and hilarious start to the game, and the teams are neck and neck until the very end.
Next up is "Balloon Pop," where one team member has to use their head to pop balloons tied to their teammates' bodies without using their hands. It's a race against the clock to pop as many balloons as possible, and both teams are fiercely competitive.
The third challenge, "Build a Burger," involves the teams building a giant burger with all the toppings, from lettuce to ketchup to pickles. However, the catch is that they have to use only their mouths to pick up and place the toppings. It's a messy and chaotic challenge, with food flying everywhere, but the teams manage to create some impressive burgers.
The fourth challenge, "Soda Geyser," is a science experiment gone wild. The teams have to drop mentos into a bottle of soda and watch as the carbon dioxide causes the soda to erupt like a geyser. The catch is that they have to catch as much of the soda as possible in a bucket before it sprays everywhere. It's a mad dash to contain the explosion, but both teams do a great job.
Finally, it's time for the famous Double Dare physical challenge, where one member from each team has to climb up a giant nose to retrieve a flag. The catch? The nose is filled with green slime, and the teams have to go through a series of obstacles before they can reach the top. It's a messy and slippery challenge, with both teams struggling to keep their footing, but one team ultimately prevails.
Throughout the episode, Marc Summers provides commentary, encourages the teams, and adds to the fun and excitement of the challenges. The teams are full of energy, enthusiasm, and determination, making for a thrilling and entertaining game.
At the end of the episode, only one team is declared the winner and moves on to the next round, while the other team takes home some consolation prizes. It's a great start to the season, and viewers can't wait to see what other messy and fun challenges await in future episodes.
