Dorothy Gale, the young farm girl from Kansas, is on a new adventure in the magical land of Oz. Along with her trusty friends, Tin Man, Scarecrow, and Cowardly Lion, she has been appointed as the Princess of Emerald City by the Great and Powerful Oz. But being a princess is not an easy task, and Dorothy has to learn the ways of ruling a kingdom to become a good leader.

In episode 5 of season 1, named "Official Ozian Exam," Dorothy is very excited about proving herself to be a good leader in Emerald City. The episode begins with her trying to make a decision about the type of cake that should be served at a royal ball. She asks for suggestions from her friends, but they all have different opinions. The timely arrival of Glinda, the Good Witch of the South, gives Dorothy the perfect opportunity to seek her advice.

Glinda advises that every princess or prince in Oz has to take an official Ozian exam to test their knowledge and leadership abilities. Dorothy is excited about this and agrees to take the exam. Glinda also warns her that the exam will be tough and that she has to be well prepared. Dorothy tells her friends about the exam and decides to study with them to be ready.

The exam day arrives, and Dorothy is nervous yet excited. When she enters the examination room, she finds that the exam is divided into three sections: history, geography, and leadership abilities. She starts with the history section, which asks her various questions about the Emerald City's past rulers, the Wizard of Oz's arrival in Oz, and the defeat of the Wicked Witches of the East and West.

The geography section tests Dorothy's knowledge of the land of Oz by asking her to locate specific areas on a map and answer questions related to them. Dorothy manages to breeze through these questions.

Finally, the leadership abilities section tests her problem-solving skills and her ability to make decisions. The first problem presented to her is that a storm is about to hit Munchkinland, and they need to evacuate the citizens. Dorothy decides to send messages to all the citizens to alert them to the situation and asks her friends to help with the evacuation effort.

The second problem is about a dispute between two tribes of flying monkeys over a scarce resource. Dorothy decides to take a diplomatic approach and invites the chiefs of both tribes to a round table discussion. She listens to their grievances and comes up with a compromise that both parties agree to.

After completing all three sections, Dorothy takes a deep breath and waits for the examiners to evaluate her answers. To her relief, she passes the exam with flying colors and is congratulated by Glinda and the other citizens of Emerald City.

The episode ends with a celebration in honor of Dorothy's success and her first official act as the Princess of Emerald City. She decrees that everyone living in Emerald City should have the right to education and that a new school will be built in the city. Dorothy smiles at her friends, feeling proud of how far she has come. The episode closes on a hopeful note with Dorothy excited about future adventures in the magical land of Oz.
