Ep 8. The story of Saru

In this episode of Dororo, we learn more about Saru, a young boy who lives in a village at the foot of a mountain. Saru is different from the other children in his village - he was born with no legs and has to use his arms to move around. One day, while out hunting with his friend, Saru comes across a group of travelers who have set up camp near his village. Among them is a man named Sabame, who claims to be the lord of the neighboring province. Sabame invites Saru and his friend to join them for a feast that night.
At the feast, Saru is amazed by the amount of food and the luxurious surroundings. He and his friend enjoy themselves, but Saru begins to feel uneasy as he notices that the other children from his village are nowhere to be seen. When he asks Sabame about it, the lord assures him that they are safe and sound, and tells him to enjoy the feast.
However, things take a dark turn when Saru discovers a horrifying secret about Sabame and the travelers. He realizes that they are not what they seem, and that they have been hiding a sinister agenda all along. Saru must use all his wits and skills to outsmart his enemies and protect his village from harm.
Through Saru's story, we see the themes of survival, determination, and loyalty. Despite facing enormous challenges and discrimination due to his disability, Saru remains determined to live his life to the fullest and protect his village from harm. The episode also explores the dangers of blind trust and the importance of questioning authority in order to uncover the truth. Overall, it's a gripping and emotional episode that showcases the show's strengths in storytelling and character development.
