To help Nobita improve his memory, Doraemon decides to give him some memory bread to eat. The bread works wonders, and Nobita suddenly remembers everything that he had forgotten about his schoolwork. He even manages to get an A+ on his test.
Meanwhile, Doraemon receives a distress signal from a fishing pond where a young girl named Mika has lost her pet turtle. Doraemon goes to save the day and helps Mika to find her pet turtle. The turtle was found in the middle of the pond, and Doraemon devises a way to get the turtle out of the water using a special gadget. Mika is overjoyed and thanks Doraemon for his help.
As Doraemon and Nobita are on their way home, they stumble upon a lost puppy. The puppy seems to be lost and is wandering aimlessly around the streets. Doraemon and Nobita decide to help the puppy and try to find its owner. They go from house to house, but no one seems to know about the puppy. The puppy also refuses to go with anyone else, and thus Doraemon and Nobita take the puppy home.
When they reach home, they find out that the puppy has a collar with a phone number on it. They call the number, and it turns out that the puppy belongs to Mika, the same girl they had helped earlier.
