Donkey Kong Country season 1 episode 3, "Booty And The Beast," opens with Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong searching for bananas in the jungle. They stumble upon a hidden cave and decide to explore it. Inside the cave, they find a treasure chest. When they try to open it, they trigger a trap that drops them into an underground cavern. The cavern is filled with precious gems and gold, but it's also inhabited by an angry and territorial Kremling.
Meanwhile, King K. Rool of the Kremling army has his sights set on the Crystal Coconut, a powerful artifact that has been passed down through generations of Kong family members. He sends two Kremlings, Klump and Krusha, to steal it from the Kongs. The Kongs, however, are unaware of the threat.
Back in the jungle, Donkey and Diddy encounter a female Kong named Candy Kong, who warns them about the danger of the Kremlings and tells them about a hidden weapon that can defeat them. She directs them to a nearby village, where they meet a wise old monkey named Cranky Kong. Cranky gives them a magical boomerang, which they hope will help them defeat the Kremlings.
Klump and Krusha arrive at Donkey Kong's treehouse in search of the Crystal Coconut, but they are stopped by Donkey and Diddy. The Kongs put up a valiant fight, but the Kremlings are too strong. Just when it seems like all hope is lost, Candy and Cranky arrive with the magical boomerang. The Kongs and the Kremlings engage in a fierce battle, with the magical boomerang proving to be a critical weapon.
In the end, Donkey and Diddy emerge victorious, and the Crystal Coconut remains in the possession of the Kongs. As the episode concludes, Donkey and Diddy are celebrated as heroes in the village. Candy and Cranky congratulate them on their bravery, and the Kongs vow to protect the Crystal Coconut from any future threats.
