Ep 14. Titan, Candy and Bella

In season 3 episode 14 of Dog Whisperer, Cesar Millan encounters three different dogs with their own unique set of behavioral issues.

The first dog, Titan, is a Great Dane that towers over his owner and has become aggressive towards strangers, causing his owner to fear taking him for walks. Cesar recognizes that Great Danes have a sensitive temperament which requires an extra gentle approach. Through gradual socialization and positive reinforcement techniques, Cesar is able to teach Titan to feel more comfortable around strangers and become less reactive towards them.

Next up is Candy, a rescued Pit Bull who has trouble controlling her excitement and often jumps on her owner and guests. Cesar explains that Pit Bulls have a lot of energy and need to be mentally and physically stimulated. He introduces Candy to a treadmill and teaches her the "place" command, which involves her staying in one spot until her owner feels it's okay to release her. With consistency and patience, Candy learns to calm down and greet people in a more appropriate manner.

The final dog featured in this episode is Bella, a mix breed who is aggressive towards other dogs, even ripping apart her former owner's Chihuahua. Cesar recognizes that Bella is dealing with deep-seated trauma and fear stemming from past experiences. He uses desensitization techniques, slowly introducing Bella to other dogs while observing her body language and reactions. Ultimately, Cesar is able to help Bella overcome her fear and aggression towards other dogs, allowing her to live a happier and more fulfilling life.

Throughout the episode, Cesar emphasizes the importance of understanding a dog's individual needs and recognizing their unique personalities. By providing them with the appropriate training and support, owners can help their dogs overcome their behavioral issues and live happier, healthier lives.
