Doctor At Sea is a British television series that was first broadcasted in the 1970s. The series is a medical comedy-drama that revolves around the life of Dr. Simon Sparrow, played by Robin Nedwell, a newly qualified doctor who is sent on a voyage on a cruise ship after completing his training at St. Swithin's Hospital in London.

The show is a part of the "Doctor" series, which started with the 1954 film Doctor in the House, which was based on the book of the same name by Richard Gordon. The success of the original film led to several sequels, and the Doctor At Sea was one of them.

The show is set in the late 1950s and early 1960s, and the first season follows Simon Sparrow's journey as he embarks on his first adventure as a ship's doctor. The show is primarily about the comical situations that Simon finds himself in on board the ship, from treating seasick passengers to navigating the complicated romantic entanglements of the ship's crew. To do so, though, they are going to have to use a little old-fashioned skull-duggery!
