When it comes to the half-dinosaur, half-vehicle creatures that populate a prehistoric world, Dinotrux season 1 episode 6 "Garby" introduces us to a unique member of this eclectic group: Garby the Stegarbasaurus, part stegosaurus and part garbage truck.
The episode begins with the crew of Dinotrux - Ty the T-Trux, Revvit the Reptool, Dozer the Dozeratops, and Ton-Ton the Anklyodump - busy building a bridge across a chasm. As they work, they hear a strange noise in the distance and decide to investigate. The source of the noise turns out to be Garby, who is rummaging through a pile of garbage.
At first, the Dinotrux are wary of Garby. They've never seen anything quite like him before, and they're not sure how to approach a creature that's part dinosaur and part garbage truck. But Garby turns out to be friendly, and he quickly explains that he's a "truxstorian" - a creature made up of two different kinds of Dinotrux.
Garby also reveals his special ability - he can eat garbage and turn it into fuel. This comes in handy when the Dinotrux run into a problem with their bridge-building project. They need more fuel to power their machines, but they've run out. Garby comes to the rescue, eating all the garbage they've accumulated and turning it into the fuel they need.
But Garby's usefulness doesn't end there. As they continue to work on the bridge, they encounter a swarm of Scrapadactyls - a type of flying reptile that likes to swoop down and steal pieces of scrap metal. The Dinotrux try to fight them off, but they're vastly outnumbered.
That's when Garby comes up with a plan. He leads the Scrapadactyls away from the bridge, flying over them and dropping pieces of garbage as bait. The Scrapadactyls are like moths to a flame, and they follow Garby away from the bridge, leaving the Dinotrux free to finish their work.
As the episode comes to a close, the Dinotrux realize that Garby has become a valued member of their team. They may have been hesitant at first, but they've come to appreciate his unique set of skills. Garby, for his part, is happy to have found a group of fellow "truxstorians" who understand him.
Overall, "Garby" is a fun and engaging episode of Dinotrux that introduces viewers to a lovable new character. Garby's ability to turn garbage into fuel is a clever twist on the usual Dinotrux formula, and his willingness to help the other creatures shows that there's more to him than just being a walking, talking dump truck. Fans of the show will definitely want to tune in to see this episode.
