In the first episode of season 3 of Dinosaur Train, titled "Dinosaurs In The Snow/Cretaceous Conifers," the Pteranodon family takes a trip to the North Pole and meets some new friends.

The episode begins with the Pteranodon family flying over a snowy landscape. They are amazed at the sight of snow. Buddy, the young T-Rex, is especially excited as he has never seen snow before and wants to play in it.

As the family lands in the snow, they start to explore the area and meet some new dinosaurs. They soon discover that there are dinosaurs living in the snow, and they are not like any they have seen before.

The first dinosaur they meet is a Troodon who is specially adapted to the cold weather. They also discover a new type of dinosaur, the Pachycephalosaurus, whose head is adapted for ramming into trees and bushes covered in snow to find food.

As they continue their exploration, the Pteranodon family comes across a frozen lake and learns about how the dinosaurs use their strong tails to create holes in the ice to fish. They also see a group of feather-covered dinosaurs called Zephyrosaurus who are adapted to living in the cold.

As the day comes to an end, the Pteranodon family meets a dinosaur family that is heading south for the winter. The new friends invite the Pteranodon family to come with them, but they decline as they have to get back to the forest to meet a friend.

In the second part of the episode, "Cretaceous Conifers," Mr. Conductor takes the Pteranodon family back in time to the Mesozoic Era to a forest of conifers. The family learns about the different types of trees and how the dinosaurs living in that time period adapted to them.

As they explore the forest, they come across a Stegosaurus whose plates help it blend in with the conifers, protecting it from predators. They also meet a group of Ankylosaurus who have tough armor that protects them from the sharp needles and branches of the trees.

The family then learns about how the conifers were a source of food for the dinosaurs in the forest. They see a group of Brachiosaurus reaching up to the tops of the trees to eat the leaves. They also see a group of Triceratops eating the lower branches.

As the episode comes to an end, the Pteranodon family says goodbye to their new dinosaur friends and returns to the present day. They are amazed at all they have learned about the dinosaurs and how they adapted to the environment around them.

Overall, "Dinosaurs In The Snow/Cretaceous Conifers" is a fun-filled and educational adventure that teaches children about different types of dinosaurs and how they adapted to their surroundings. It is sure to be an exciting episode for fans of the Dinosaur Train series.
