Don’s Collection / New Neighbors is the twenty-ninth episode of the first season of the popular children’s animated series, Dinosaur Train.

In the first half of the episode, Don is excited to show off his rock and fossil collection to the other dinosaurs on the train. When he pulls out a shiny rock that catches everyone’s attention, Mr. Conductor introduces them to a Mineral Carrier, a dinosaur whose job it is to collect and transport minerals such as rocks and gems. The Mineral Carrier takes them on a tour of the different types of minerals found in the Earth, including quartz, amethyst, and even gold. Don is especially thrilled when the carrier shows him a shiny piece of pyrite which he adds to his collection.

The second half of the episode introduces new characters to the show as the Pteranodon family looks for a new place to roost. They come across a herd of Lambeosaurus’ who invite them to stay in their communal roosting area. However, the Pteranodons soon discover that living in such close proximity to the other dinosaurs can be challenging as they try to get some rest amid the noisy neighbors. Their new friends help them navigate the challenges, and they all learn valuable lessons about the importance of understanding and respecting each other's differences.

Throughout the episode, the young viewers are treated to fun and entertaining songs that teach them about minerals, fossils, and different types of dinosaurs. The colorful animation and playful characters are sure to hold their attention while they learn important lessons about science and socialization.
