In the first part of the episode, There's a Compsognathus Under My Bed, Dan wants to prove that a small dinosaur called Compsognathus lived in his house. Despite his mother's disapproval, Dan decides to search for more evidence using his Dino Field Guide. He eventually discovers that the bone belongs to a different dinosaur, called a Coelophysis, but he still believes that a Compsognathus lived in the house.
Meanwhile, Dan's little brother, Trek is scared of the dark and thinks that there might be something under his bed.
