Ep 6. Sicily

Carlo Cracco, after having promised him a boat trip, has decided to take Pierfrancesco Favino to Sicily, but not by sea. The two in fact will travel by land on a Spiaggina. Among the initial controversy, they'll reach the Saline Culcasi in Trapani. Carlo will immediately test Pierfrancesco with the basics of cooking, teaching him how to salt a salad. Having partially passed the first test, they'll arrive at the Monastery of Palma di Montechiaro where they'll stop to buy some almond cookies. Pierfrancesco does not know, however, that he will pay dearly for this "heavenly" experience. After an uphill start, it will be time for the two of them to make an overnight stop to refresh themselves in the small town of Aragona. Here, between a taste of tagano, some meatballs and the memory of the flavors of home, when asked, "What did you want to do when you were a child?", Carlo and Pierfrancesco will let go of childhood confidences. Will Carlo have the courage to repeat his childhood dream to the other members of the Dinner Club? Having resumed their journey, the two will start the day with a breakfast of more than 200 grams. More than 200 km will also be the distance they'll have to travel to reach Licata and the Michelin-starred chef Pino Cuttaia. It will be the Doria Family to really put a strain on the two traveling companions, who will finally experience the true "hospitality" of the south. Having survived the first, second, third and fourth course, they'll get back in the car and stop in a glamping to rest after the binge. However, Pierfrancesco doesn't know that, because of Carlo, they won't be spending their last evening alone. Once back, Pierfrancesco will begin his dinner by keeping a low profile, disappointing the expectations of the Dinner Club members. Among initial controversies and unappreciated tuna appetizers, the guests will have to reconsider when the revisiting of a starred dish arrives on the table, which will trigger the envy of some of them.
