The Emperor's New Home is the ninth episode of season two of Digimon Adventure 02. This episode begins with Davis's little sister Jun being forced out of her bedroom by their cousin Chizuru, who is visiting their house. After defeating them, the DigiDestined find a new Digi-Egg. When they return to the Real World, they are surprised to find that the Digital World has merged with it, causing major disruptions.
The DigiDestined soon realize that the source of the Digital World's problems is the newly emerged Digimon Emperor, who has taken control of the Dark Towers, the devices that are causing the Digital World to merge with the Real World. The Emperor has also enslaved several Digimon, including a group of Mini-Kuwagamon. Davis and the others try to free the Mini-Kuwagamon, but they are ambushed by the Digimon Emperor's minions and forced to flee.
While Davis and the others are on the run, Ken, the Digimon Emperor, shows off his new power by creating a massive Dark Tower on top of Davis's house. This causes Davis's family to be evicted from their home and forced to move in with Jun's family. However, when the DigiDestined learn of the new Dark Tower, they decide to attack it head-on. They are joined by a newly hatched Digimon, who helps them destroy the Dark Tower and free the Digimon slaves.
After the battle, Davis and the others return to the Real World to find that their homes have been destroyed and that the Digital World is still merging with it. They struggle to come up with a plan to stop the Digimon Emperor and save both worlds. Meanwhile, Ken vows to continue his conquest of the Digital World, unaware of the threat that the DigiDestined pose.
