Ep 6. The Well of Souls

The Well of Souls takes place in the small Israeli town of Jerusalem, where a long-lost artifact has been uncovered. The episode opens as Peter and Golan are driving towards Jerusalem in search of something. A young boy, who is playing in the street, stops them and tells them that he knows where to find the artifact they are looking for. The boy tells them that it is buried in a well located somewhere in the town.

Meanwhile, Lynn is busy conducting an archaeological dig of the old synagogue in the town square. Her work is focused on a particular area within the temple, where she has discovered a small, hidden chamber. Within it, she discovers an unusual object that has the potential to provide some answers regarding the origins of the synagogue and the Jewish people. However, when her findings are brought to the attention of the Israeli authorities, they attempt to discredit Lynn's work and suppress any information regarding the object.

Elsewhere in the town, Avram is struggling with his guilt over a past tragedy involving him and his late wife. His guilt comes to the forefront when he is asked to identify a body, which he believes to be his deceased wife's. This event propels Avram into a mental and emotional spiral, leading him to make some questionable decisions regarding his personal life.

Back at the well, Peter and Golan have discovered the entrance to the underground chamber which contains the artifact. However, they are not the only ones interested in the object, as a group of men have been tracking their movements and are determined to acquire the artifact for themselves. The ensuing events lead to a chase through the town, as both groups attempt to outmaneuver each other while pursuing their goals.

As events begin to come to a head, Lynn's research leads her to a shocking discovery that has major implications for the entire Jewish community. Meanwhile, Avram's past actions come back to haunt him, as he is forced to come to terms with the consequences of his actions.

The Well of Souls is an intense and suspenseful episode of Dig, as the characters navigate through a maze of obstacles in their search for answers and self-discovery.
