Ep 1. Arnold's Girlfriend, Part 1

Arnold's Girlfriend, Part 1 is the first episode of the second season of Diff'rent Strokes. In this episode, Arnold Jackson, the youngest member of the Drummond family, introduces his new girlfriend to his family. The girl's name is Lynn and she seems to be a sweet and friendly girl. However, Mr Drummond isn't too happy about the relationship and feels that Arnold is too young to have a girlfriend.

Despite Mr Drummond's concerns, Arnold continues to see Lynn and invites her to dinner at the Drummond household. During dinner, Mr Drummond tries to get to know Lynn better and asks her about her family and her interests. He also tries to give her some advice about dating Arnold and warns her that he might not be ready for a serious relationship.

Meanwhile, Kimberly, Arnold's older sister, seems to have taken a liking to Lynn and offers to help her with her school work. Even Willis, Arnold's older brother, is starting to warm up to Lynn and tells Arnold that she's a cool girl.

As the episode progresses, we see Arnold and Lynn spending more time together and enjoying each other's company. They go on a date to the movies and Arnold gets Lynn a sweet necklace as a gift. However, things don't go too smoothly when they run into a group of bullies who start mocking Lynn for dating a younger guy.

Despite the bullies, Arnold and Lynn continue to see each other and even plan a romantic picnic. However, Mr Drummond is still not convinced that Arnold is ready for a girlfriend and tries to talk to him about it. Arnold feels that Mr Drummond doesn't trust him and gets upset, leading to a big argument between the two.

The first part of this episode sets the stage for the relationship between Arnold and Lynn and explores the themes of teenage dating, family dynamics, and growing up. It also introduces some of the challenges that Arnold and Lynn will face as they try to navigate their relationship in the coming episodes.
