SANTA CLAUS goes on television and announces his retirement. He's feeling too old, too fat, and the North Pole is too cold for the bones in his pack-strained back. But the world should not despair because he has the perfect successor. In fact, he would not even have considered stepping down if he didn't know he could pass on his responsibilities to the popular, the holly, the perfect man for the job, the man he introduces now as - ROBOTNIKLAUS! Robotnik, in red suit, red hat, and phony white beard steps onto the screen to overwhelming amounts of electronically-augmented applause. He emotionally accepts this high honor and announces he will be making a few small changes in the Christmas season. And his concluding Ho-Ho-Ho's sound more than a little ominous.

1. Inspector Gadget Saves Christmas

When all the MAD agents fail, DR. CLAW decides to get INSPECTOR GADGET himself. There's trouble at the North Pole, and Dr. Claw is behind it. PENNY and BRAIN are along for the ride, and then some, as Gadget takes a tour hosted by Santa Claw, who has programmed the Elves into drones and jailed the real SANTA. Claw's dastardly plot to turn children against Santa and ruin Christmas is thwarted by some fast thinking on the part of Penny, some fast action on the part of Brain, and some fast bumbling on the part of the great Inspector.
