Dharma & Greg is a sitcom that aired from 1997-2002 and follows the story of Dharma, a free-spirited hippie, and Greg, a conservative lawyer, who got married on their first date. In season 4, episode 4, titled “Hell No, Greg Can’t Go,” Dharma and Greg are faced with a dilemma when Greg’s mom, Kitty, invites them to her fancy party at a country club.

They soon find out that the party is a charity event and the cause is close to Kitty’s heart. However, things take a turn for the worse when they discover that the cause is actually hunting, and the charity is to preserve hunting grounds.
Greg, who is a vegetarian and an animal rights activist, is appalled and refuses to attend the event, causing a rift with his mom. Dharma, on the other hand, sees this as an opportunity to challenge Greg's beliefs and convinces him to go with her to the party to protest hunting.
At the party, Greg meets a celebrity chef who is also a vegetarian and against hunting. They quickly bond over their shared beliefs and plan to protest together. However, their plan goes awry when the chef accidentally sets himself on fire while trying to burn a fur coat.
Meanwhile, Dharma befriends a group of women who are avid hunters. She initially tries to convince them to stop hunting, but when that fails, she joins them on a hunt. However, she quickly realizes that hunting is not for her and backs out last minute, leaving the hunters confused and angry.
In the end, Kitty and Greg make amends, and she even comes to understand and respect his beliefs. As for Dharma, she learns that sometimes it’s okay to agree to disagree and still respect each other’s choices.
