Dexter season 6 episode 7, titled "Nebraska," takes a darker turn as our favorite serial killer, Dexter, finds himself on the run with his brother Brian, also known as the Ice Truck Killer.
After killing Travis Marshall's accomplice, Dexter goes on the run and heads towards Nebraska with the help of his brother. Along the way, they stop at a gas station where a man recognizes Brian from the news and starts to provoke him, bringing out the darker side of both brothers. This scene gives us a glimpse of the inner turmoil that both Dexter and Brian deal with as they try to cope with their past.
As Dexter and Brian continue their journey, they arrive at a small town with a population of only 5,000 people. Here, we see Dexter confronting his inner demons in a way that is both terrifying and satisfying. We also see a more human side to Brian, who is trying to reconnect with his brother and find a way to escape their past.
One of the more interesting elements of this episode is the contrast between Dexter and Brian. While Dexter is more methodical and calculated in his killings, Brian is impulsive and emotional. This creates an interesting dynamic between the two brothers as they try to work together to stay out of trouble.
We also get to see some of the fallout from Dexter's actions in previous episodes. The police are hot on his trail and are working tirelessly to catch him. It's interesting to see how Dexter's actions are affecting the people around him and how they are reacting to his presence.
Overall, Dexter season 6 episode 7 is a thrilling and suspenseful episode that keeps you on the edge of your seat. It's a great example of how the show can balance its darker elements with moments of introspection and self-discovery. As always, Michael C. Hall gives a phenomenal performance as Dexter, and the supporting cast is equally excellent. If you're a fan of the show, this episode is a must-watch.
