In episode 13 of season 2 of Desperate Housewives, titled "There's Something About a War," tensions continue to rise between Bree and her rebellious son Andrew. Bree is struggling to reconcile with her son, who has been harboring resentment towards her and refusing to follow her rules. She turns to Lynette for advice, but Lynette is dealing with her own problems at home, as her husband Tom struggles with his own insecurities and jealousy.
Meanwhile, Gabrielle continues her affair with her teenage gardener, John, but their relationship hits a roadblock when John's girlfriend moves back to town and threatens to expose their secret. Gabrielle must decide whether to continue the affair or break things off and try to save her marriage.

Finally, Edie Britt, the neighborhood seductress, decides to run for city council, but her campaign hits a snag when she discovers that a rival candidate is using her past indiscretions against her.
As these storylines unfold, the women of Wisteria Lane find themselves dealing with issues of family, love, and betrayal. With the stakes higher than ever, they must navigate their complicated relationships and try to find a way to make peace with their pasts and move forward into the future.
