Ep 5. Should I Stay or Should I Go?

In Degrassi season 3 episode 5, titled "Should I Stay or Should I Go?", we see the Degrassi students dealing with the concept of change and the fear that comes with it. The episode begins with JT and Toby looking for a new apartment for JT's mom and him, but things go awry when they find out they will be losing their current apartment and being forced to move. The theme of this episode is all about change and the fear that comes with it. JT and Toby are literally being forced to leave their comfortable home and adjust to a new living situation, while Paige is faced with the challenge of a new internship that she believes she may not be ready for. Ashley's fear of losing Craig to his new group of friends represents a fear of change in a different way, as she fears losing something she has become accustomed to and comfortable with. Emma's storyline is a great representation of a child struggling with divorce, feeling like everything she knows and loves is slipping away due to the changes in her family.
