In the first episode of season 8 of the true crime series Deadly Women, titled "Lady of Blood," viewers are introduced to three women whose thirst for blood left a deadly trail in their wake.
The first segment explores the case of Dianne Odell, a nurse who was convicted of killing multiple patients under her care. Odell enjoyed the power she held over the sick and vulnerable, and would inject them with lethal doses of medication at her leisure. Her crimes were discovered when suspicious hospital staff members alerted authorities, and she was sentenced to life in prison.
Next, viewers meet Sharon Kinne, a woman whose beauty and charm masked a dark side. Kinne was involved in a tumultuous relationship with her husband, and when he began to fear for his safety, he filed for divorce. But Kinne wasn't ready to let go, and she murdered her husband in cold blood. Despite fleeing the country to avoid prosecution, Kinne was eventually caught and sentenced to life in prison.
The final segment of the episode tells the story of Angela Simpson, a woman who was deeply troubled from a young age. Simpson became obsessed with the occult and began to believe that she was a vampire, drinking her own blood and plotting to kill others for their blood as well. She eventually went through with her plan, luring a young woman to her apartment and stabbing her to death, all in the name of fulfilling her twisted fantasy.
Throughout the episode, expert analysis and interviews with those involved in the cases shed light on the motivations and methods of these deadly women. From their chilling crime scenes to their chillingly calculated actions leading up to their arrests, "Lady of Blood" is a gripping and unsettling dive into some of the most disturbing real-life crimes committed by women.
