In the season 7, episode 2 of Deadly Women, entitled "Money Hungry," viewers are taken through three different cases of women who murdered for material gain. In the first case, we meet a nurse named Kristen Gilbert who becomes addicted to attention and power as a nurse, leading her to intentionally inject her patients with epinephrine, causing their hearts to stop beating. She is eventually caught and sentenced to life in prison.
The second case the show covers is that of Linda Lou Charbonneau, who was notoriously known as the "Black Widow of Lomita." She would lure and marry wealthy men, only to murder them and collect their life insurance policies. Her scheme eventually comes to light, and she is sentenced to life in prison.
Lastly, the episode covers the case of Kathleen Boyce and Bernadette Loeffel-Atkins, two women who become fast friends after meeting at work. They begin to embezzle money from their employer, and things escalate quickly when they decide to kill their boss and his wife to cover up their crimes.
Throughout the episode, interviews with family members, law enforcement, and legal experts give insight into these notorious cases. The show also includes reenactments of key events, giving viewers a look into the minds of these deadly women.
