Eventually, in 2007, Taylor enlisted the help of her teenage daughter and her daughter’s boyfriend to carry out a deadly attack against Marie. Despite drawing up detailed plans, Taylor ultimately failed in her bid to have Marie killed, and instead, the three perpetrators were arrested and charged with attempted murder. The episode looks at various pieces of evidence in the case, including tapes of the threatening phone messages, to help uncover what led Taylor to try and murder her husband's new partner.

The final story of the episode is about a woman named Janie Lou Gibbs, a mother and grandmother living in Cordele, Georgia, who, in 1966, allegedly poisoned her family members. The case started when Gibbs' husband, a local policeman, died suddenly, which prompted an investigation into his death and the deaths of several other relatives that had previously passed away. The investigation ultimately revealed that Gibbs had been carrying out a horrifying killing spree over a period of years and that she was responsible for at least five deaths. The show talks to those who were involved in investigating the murders, including Gibbs' son, who worked in law enforcement, to uncover how she got away with such heinous crimes for so long.
