In the eleventh episode of the fourteenth season of the true-crime series Deadly Women, viewers are introduced to three separate cases of women who become involved in deadly love triangles.
The first case revolves around 21-year-old Kristina Hickey, who falls in love with her married boss, 43-year-old Dr. Brian Stidham. Dr. Stidham is initially hesitant to pursue a relationship with Kristina, but the two eventually begin an affair. When Dr. Stidham's wife, Heather, discovers the affair, she files for divorce and obtains a restraining order against Kristina. Despite this, Kristina continues to attempt to contact Dr. Stidham, and on the night of November 5th, 2004, she orchestrates a plan with her new boyfriend to murder Dr. Stidham in his driveway.
The second case tells the story of 33-year-old Gail Bennett, who has a passionate affair with her coworker, 26-year-old Chris Gattis. Chris is married to his high school sweetheart, 30-year-old Candace Kunze, but Gail believes that Chris is going to leave Candace for her. However, when Candace discovers the affair, she demands a divorce. Chris is devastated and enraged, and on Thanksgiving Day in 2017, he murders Candace, her parents, and her grandmother while Gail watches.
The third and final case centers around 33-year-old Marissa Jo Genovese, who has been living with her boyfriend, 47-year-old Carl Dickinson, for several years. However, Marissa begins a sexual relationship with another man, 41-year-old Larry Hooper. When Carl discovers the affair, he becomes violent and abusive towards Marissa, and she confides in Larry about her situation. Eventually, on the night of June 9th, 2015, Marissa and Larry sneak into Carl's house and shoot him multiple times, killing him.
Throughout the episode, experts weigh in on the psychology of the women involved in these cases, as well as the motivations and perspectives of the victims and perpetrators. In addition, friends and family members of those involved provide insight into the relationships and circumstances that led to these tragic outcomes.
Overall, the eleventh episode of Deadly Women's fourteenth season offers a chilling exploration of the ways in which love and passion can turn deadly when mixed with jealousy and betrayal.
