In Deadly Women season 14 episode 10, titled "Soulless," viewers are taken on a journey through three chilling tales of women who committed heinous crimes without remorse or empathy.
The first story tells the tale of Carri Standsoverbull, a native American woman from Montana who had a troubled childhood and a tumultuous relationship with her husband, John. In 2017, she murdered John in a fit of rage and then went on the run with her daughter, leaving behind a trail of evidence that eventually led to her capture and conviction.
The second story focuses on Jennifer Mee, a Florida woman who gained infamy as the "Hiccup Girl" in 2007. Despite her apparent celebrity, Jennifer struggled with mental illness and a compulsion for attention. In 2010, she and her two male accomplices lured a young man to a location where they robbed and killed him, leading to a life sentence for Jennifer and death sentences for her accomplices.
Finally, the third story highlights the crimes of Jeena Han, a New York woman who used her beauty and charm to manipulate men for her own gain. Jeena convinced her boyfriend to murder her wealthy husband so that she could collect his life insurance payout and start a new life with her lover. However, their plan unraveled when Jeena's lover betrayed her and revealed their plot to the police.
Throughout "Soulless," viewers are presented with the disturbing reality that some individuals are capable of committing heinous crimes without remorse or empathy for their victims. From Carri's explosive anger to Jennifer's obsession with fame to Jeena's greed and manipulation, each woman in this episode proves to be truly "soulless" in their depravity.
As always, Deadly Women masterfully weaves together archival footage, expert commentary, and dramatic reenactments to bring these stories to life. Viewers are left on the edge of their seats as they watch the chilling details of these crimes unfold, and are left pondering what drives these women to commit such truly heinous acts.
